The opportunity

This is one of those critical roles that will see you work across all aspects of the organisation from an operational, organisation, business and people perspective.  You’re the person that keeps Storypark running smoothly and keeps things flowing. You’ll support all of the Storypark whānau but in particular the leadership team, enabling them to optimise their time and focus on driving forward local and global strategic activity.

You'll lead a small team including our People Experience Coordinator and various contractors to ensure we have a culture and work environment where our people thrive and can do their best work.

This is a really varied role and your work description could really depend on the day, but may look a bit like this:

  • Working closely with the CEO across all operational needs.

  • Preparing business presentations and documentation.

  • Organising board packs, attending board meetings and taking minutes.

  • Managing suppliers, lease agreements and overall office management.

  • Writing compelling and effective internal communication.

  • Managing process, such as record updates, contract renewals, following up team leads to ensure people plans are in place.

  • Supporting our people with recruitment, onboarding, contract changes, payroll changes, engagement surveys.

  • Booking and coordination of travel.

About you

We value curiosity, collaboration and growth mindsets.  By nature you are interested in Storypark’s future so that each task or project you tackle you’ll have that in mind, nothing is just a “tick box” exercise for you.

You’ll have a good level of experience and a strategic mindset, and we’ll value just as much your low ego and keenness to jump in and just get done what needs to be done.

You're a great communicator and have experience facilitating meetings and speaking to groups of people.

Naturally you are an organiser, systems focussed and love supporting people to be their best.

You’ll be excited about the opportunity to contribute in making a difference in the world. And will live and demonstrate our values through and through.

Your previous experience may include:

  • EA experience to a leadership team.

  • Business or office management experience.

  • Experience leading and inspiring a small team.

  • The ability to confidently communicate and present at events and team meetings.

  • Facilities and operational management.

  • Working creatively, using initiative and lateral thinking, taking the lead on what needs to be done.

  • Internal communication.
